Yoga is for every body, and for all ages

Welcome to Sol Yoga Movement, I am thrilled to be offering lunch time yoga classes Monday's 12-1, at the Kingston Beach Hall.  Also available are individual or small group yoga sessions at your location on Mondays and Tuesdays! 

 

I believe that yoga is for every body, regardless of age or experience, and these inclusive classes are designed for everyone. Yoga will enhance your mobility, flexibility, and strength through mindful, gentle movement.  

 

All the essentials are included including mats, blocks, straps, and blankets, to create a welcoming and nurturing environment.

 

Leave each session feeling relaxed, energized, and ready to embrace the rest of your day.  I can’t wait to share this practice with you.

Style of Yoga Class

Gentle Yoga Flow and Stretch focuses on personal progress and is welcoming to students of all ages and fitness levels. In this 60-minute class, you’ll experience a thoughtfully designed session that begins with freestyle movements to warm up your muscles and joints. We’ll incorporate breath work to support your nervous system, followed by a yoga flow emphasising alignment, mobility, and strength. We’ll wrap up with a relaxation period for rest and restoration, leaving you feeling both energised and relaxed as you transition back into your day!

Private Classes

Private classes are about creating a personalised yoga experience that fits your lifestyle and goals.  Whether your private class is solo or with others these sessions are Gentle Yoga Flow and Stretch with a focus on breath work, alignment, mobility, strength and relaxation

Private yoga sessions offer several benefits that may suit your needs. Whether you’re new to yoga and unsure where to start, or you want to build confidence before joining group classes, a private session provides a comfortable and personalised experience. Practicing in the privacy of your own space can be more convenient, especially if your schedule makes it hard to attend group classes. Private sessions also offer the opportunity to deepen your practice with detailed feedback and tailored adjustments, ensuring you grow at your own pace. And of course, if you simply love yoga and want to enjoy more of it, private sessions are the perfect way to explore and expand your practice.

Sessions are 1 hour long, priced from $60 for an individual or a small group.  I bring everything you need, mat, blocks, blankets, and straps right to you, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience. The goal is to help you build a sustainable, injury-free practice that enhances the quality of your everyday life, leaving you feeling both relaxed and energised.

My Yoga Journey

Yoga first entered my life as a healing practice after an injury, but what began as a way to regain physical strength quickly transformed into something much deeper. Over the years, yoga has become a vital part of my life, not just as a physical practice, but as a pathway to balance, mindfulness, and calm.

With nearly 10 years of experience on this journey, I’ve learned the profound importance of functional movement and the lasting benefits that a consistent yoga practice can offer, especially in today’s fast-paced world. Whether it's alleviating stress, increasing mobility, or simply finding a moment of stillness amidst chaos, yoga offers something for everyone.

Before becoming a yoga teacher, my passion for coaching and mindful movement took flight in the fitness world. I spent several years as a fitness and weight loss coach at a women’s fitness centre here in Hobart, where I had the privilege of guiding many ladies through their own journey. 

As a 200-hour certified Yoga Teacher in both Hatha and Vinyassa styles, I am now honoured be to be guiding others in their own practice and share the transformative power of yoga. I teach a gentle Hatha and style, focusing on mindful movement, alignment, and breath.

I’m incredibly excited to meet you where you are on your yoga journey and look forward to connecting with you on the mat.  Whether you're just beginning or deepening your practice, together we can explore how yoga can bring more balance, strength, and peace into your life.

Our studio acknowledges that we are living and practicing on the land of the Palawa people.  Nipaluna (Hobart), means 'place of the woman.' This name reflects the rich cultural and historical significance of the area to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, honoring their enduring connection to this land, its waters, and its rich cultural heritage.
